If you are a Naval Engineering professor or a PhD candidate, we are open for an industrial collaboration! We want to incorporate Naval Engineers who are passionate about both academic research and industrial applications, to undertake an industrial PhD of 3-4 years in collaboration with Green Navigation.
Your Role as a Naval Engineer:
Our team is composed of experts in mathematics, computer science, and data science. As a member of this multidisciplinary team, your primary role will be to research and strengthen the modeling of ships. You will work in the following key areas:
- Fuel Consumption: Analyze and model consumption patterns to optimize the vessel’s efficiency.
- Ship Movement and Dynamics: Study and model the behavior of the ship under various maritime conditions.
- Safety Indicators: Develop metrics and algorithms to ensure crew safety and vessel integrity.
All the models you develop will be translated into Python code and implemented in our weather routing tool. You will see how our algorithms make the most of your models, refining maritime routes to maximize fuel savings and emission reductions.
